Description

Being offered here is a vintage 1960s hand-embroidered 100% wool child's cape/poncho created and hand-crafted by "arta textila" in CLUJ NAPOCA, Romania.
This is a stunning piece, with exquisite embroidery and outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail.  The cape itself is a bright cherry/cranberry red, lined with gold-colored satin, and hand-embroidered with a buttery, creamy-golden looping trim design.  There are numerous hand-embroidered accent designs on both the front and the back.  These portions are embroidered in royal blue, turquoise/teal, orange, and white.  There are two arm/hand slits on the front, and the cape/poncho has a 3-button closure with hand-sewn wooden toggle buttons.  This is a truly fantastic quality Artisan piece!
Shows few VERY minor signs of age-appropriate wear, including two very small (1/8" & 1/4") holes in the lining near the inner collar loop, and one tiny spot (1/8") on the inner lining near the center of the back.  Please see photos as part of the description, and to appreciate the exquisite craftsmanship of this vintage piece.
